Make a Keyring for Big School
Come along to my Crafty Class to make a keyring for Big School. Your children need a keyring they can recognise on their book bag. So bring them along so they can make one to be proud of!
These were very popular last year, with more than 80 new starters making keyrings for their Big School book bags.
Check out some photos from last year
These are just a few of the photos from the keyring classes of 2021
Please note: there is a discrepancy in the event date in the basket. The system skews the event date by a day for reasons that escape me. The keyring classes will be held on Sat 3rd September. The correct dates and times are displayed in the title of the drop down boxes below. Please ignore any other dates and times.
Apologies for any confusion. Please get in touch if you are unsure. Thank you for understanding.
Each school will have separate sessions, so it’s a great way to meet other new starters and make new friends. The sessions will run for 30 mins. The groups will be small, so that I can help everyone with their creations.
This is what it is all about…
Making new friends. Meeting people who will start at your school with you in September.
The Yews Community Centre
55 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1BJ
Limited parking available at the centre. On street parking is available on Boltro Road.
When you arrive, ring the bell for the broadway lounge and I will come and let you in.
How do I book?
Scroll down to find the time your new school has been allocated and book your child’s place. There should be a session for your school on both dates, but if you can’t find your school, please get in touch. I may be able to add a session in for you.
Select the number of spaces you need. Fill in the details for each child. The name you include here will be the name on their keyring. Add the sessions to your basket, and checkout through my website. Once checkout is complete, you will receive a booking confirmation.
For sessions that are fully booked, please get in touch and add your details to my waiting list. I will add additional classes where there is demand.
Frequently Asked Questions
What about COVID?
Ah, yes. COVID.
Whatever the restrictions, I will follow them. If we are unable to run the classes, you will be offered a full refund, or credit to book a crafty session another time.
Do we stay with our children?
Yes, please stay with your children. I have allowed space for one adult per child.
Can I bring siblings?
Siblings that are both starting Big School? Absolutely. Simply book a space for each child.
It’d be better for other siblings to stay with another adult at home, or if that’s not an option, let me know and perhaps bring something to keep them occupied during the class.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
I have worked hard to keep the cost of this class as low as possible for everyone. So unfortunately, I am unable to offer sibling discounts.
Is there parking?
At Woodside, yes there is plenty of parking at Woodside
At The Yews, yes, the Yews do have a small car park. However, it might be easier to walk or park further down Boltro Road, or in town if you can. The car park is shared with the whole centre so spaces are not guaranteed.
I can’t find my school on your list?
Don’t Panic. I have included the main schools in Haywards Heath and the surrounding area. If your school isn’t listed, let me know. If there are enough of you from your school, I can set up a session just for you. If not, I can include you on another session that has space.
We can’t make either of those dates. Will you be holding other sessions?
The sessions listed I have booked venues for. However, I am happy to consider other times and places if there are a group of you that would like to make keyrings together. I can run an event at your home, on a sunny day on Lindfield Common, or in a local hall or community centre. Get in touch and I will organise a quote for you, with no obligation to book.
There are a group of us that would like to make some keyrings. Can we book a different time with you?
Perfect! Yes, of course I can run a session for you. Get in touch and we’ll get something booked in.
I love the idea of making their keyring, but I don’t really want to come to a class. Can I buy a kit instead?
Yes, of course. Follow the link below to the product page and purchase your keyring through the website.
The idea of coming to a class is to meet others starting school with you. It’s very much a “come and make friends” opportunity more than it is to simply create a personalise keyring. If you have any questions, please get in touch and I will do my best to help.
If you have any further questions, please get in touch either via email or click on the WhatsApp button below. Keep scrolling to book your child’s place.
