Hi, I’m Alyson, the founder of Beading Brilliant.
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, handmade gifts, craft projects and creating together were woven into everyday family life. Those experiences taught me that making something with your own hands isn’t just about the finished product—it’s about building confidence, solving problems, expressing yourself and feeling proud of what you’ve achieved.
Beading Brilliant began as a business selling craft kits, but I quickly discovered that my real passion wasn’t simply providing the materials—it was inspiring children to create. Seeing a child master a new skill, overcome a challenge or proudly show off something they’ve made is what makes every session so rewarding.
Today, Beading Brilliant has grown into a creative space where children of all ages can explore, imagine and learn through hands-on experiences. From Saturday Crafty Club and holiday workshops to Splatter Club messy play sessions, sewing lessons, knitting and crochet tuition, every activity is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence.
I believe every child is creative. Sometimes they just need the opportunity, encouragement and freedom to discover it.
Whether a child is learning to use a sewing machine for the first time, experimenting with paint at Splatter Club, or creating a handmade gift to take home, my aim is always the same: to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where they can learn new skills, enjoy the creative process and leave feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.
At Beading Brilliant, there’s no pressure to be perfect. Creativity is about exploring ideas, trying something new, learning from mistakes and celebrating every achievement along the way.
