Beginners Crochet Course (Right Handed)

This class is for beginners to crochet. Whether you have never picked up a crochet hook, or you’re struggling to get the hang of crochet, this course will set you on the right track to grow and develop your skills.

Over 4 sessions, you will learn the techniques and stitches you need to start your crochet journey. You will gain the confidence to try new patterns and new skills.

Week 1 – Get started with the basics (getting the tension right, chains, double crochet)
Week 2 – Start making a twisted headband (following a pattern, half treble crochet)
week 3 – Granny Square (reading a chart, treble crochet)
Week 4 – Amigurami (magic rings)

You will be given the equipment and materials you need in your first session in a handy crochet bag, which you will take home to practise your crochet each week.

You will also have access to support via a dedicated WhatsApp group between each session, so if you get stuck and need a reminder, I am on hand to help you.

This course is aimed at children aged 8+, however adults are welcome to join as well. Parent and child learning together often works well.

Course cost : £60 per person

This course will be held at The Woodside in Bolnore Village.

Beginners Knitting Course (Right Handed)

This class is for beginners to knitting. Whether you have never picked up a pair of knitting needles, or you’re struggling to get the hang of knitting, this course will set you on the right track to grow and develop your skills.

Over 4 sessions, you will learn the techniques and stitches you need to start your knitting journey. You will gain the confidence to try new patterns and new skills.

Week 1 – Get started with the basics (casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, casting off)
Week 2 – Start making wrist warmers (following a pattern, ribbing, stocking stitch, mattress stitch)
week 3 – Knitted butterflies (mastering increasing and decreasing)
Week 4 – Textured knitting (cabling squares)

You will be given the equipment and materials you need in your first session in a handy knitting bag, which you will take home to practise your knitting each week.
