Clothes Peg Snowflakes

Use wooden clothes pegs to create a festive snowflake decoration. Choose the colour and embellishments that compliment your festive decoration. If your kids lack the patience to wait for glue to dry, use a cool melt glue gun, or make the snowflakes yourself, and let the kids decorate them.

You will need…

  • pegs. you’ll need 8 per snowflake
  • pva glue or a cool melt glue gun and glue
  • paint or paint pens
  • self adhesive gems or glitter

Let’s get making…

Start by taking your pegs apart. Remove the metal spring. You won’t need that bit, so pop it in the recycling.

Glue your pegs flat sides together. You can use PVA glue or cool melt glue gun for this one. A glue gun will be far quicker, but not suitable for young children to help with.

Glue two peg pairs together end to end. You will need strong glue or your glue gun for this one. You can use PVA but you will need to wait for each stage to dry completely before you move onto the next one.

Add two more at right angles to these. Then add the last four pairs to finish off your snowflake shape.
