“My daughter loves this class on Saturdays – Alyson is so ingenious and creative with her ideas and Woodside is a lovely venue. Really good value for money too.”
What happens on a Saturday?

Children have recently completed…

“My daughter loves Alyson’s classes, crafts are pitched at a level suitable to her and she loves it. I am amazed with how she can come home with a different craft every session, Alyson is fun and patient with fabulous ideas. Would highly recommend.”
It’s about much more than crafting

Every project teaches something beyond art.
Children learn to:
✓ persevere
✓ solve problems
✓ make creative decisions
✓ build confidence
✓ believe in themselves
One child was nervous about using a glue gun after burning herself previously. By using our cool-melt glue guns and taking things at her pace, she left the session smiling because she’d overcome something she thought she couldn’t do.
“My child loves coming to Crafty Club. Other things have come and gone, but Crafty Club is always a favourite.”

Saturday Crafty Club FAQs
My child isn’t very crafty – will they enjoy it?
I believe every child is creative. Sometimes they just need the opportunity, encouragement and freedom to discover it. If they are keen to give Crafty Club a try, book them onto a trial and come and see what were all about. No pressure. No expectation. No commitment.
What should they wear?
Crafty Club is often (but not always) messy. I do have aprons, but it is always sensible to dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting stained.
What if they come on their own?
We are a friendly bunch. New crafters are welcomed into our classes, so don’t worry if they don’t know anyone. They will make friends and feel right at home in no time.
My child is shy.
That is totally understandable. A brand new environment. New people. New class. It is very scary for most adults let alone children. Rest assured, I have plenty of shy children in my sessions. If they need you to hang around for a bit until they are settled, that’s absolutely fine. Most parents find they can duck out within the first 15 mins or so.
Can siblings attend different sessions?
My groups are divided by age, so if the siblings fall into different age groups, yes they will attend different sessions. If the siblings fall into the same age group, they will likely be together. However, if there is demand, I may add additional sessions for each age group.
What happens if my child loves it?
After their trial, you will be invited to complete a feedback survey. If you are happy for your child to attend the sessions each week, I will send you all the details and we can get them booked on. Your trial fee will be deducted from the half term fee.
I can’t make some of the sessions. Do I have to pay for the whole half term?
The half termly fee secures your child’s place for that half term. Unfortunately, I am unable to offer refunds or discounts for missed classes. If Beading Brilliant needs to cancel a class, a full refund will be credited to your account.
Can I transfer between classes?
Yes, if there is space available and the class you are requesting is suitable. At the end of each half term, I will review the session allocations, and notify you of any transfers. Transfers are based on your child’s ability, age and group dynamics.
If you would like to transfer your child, please get in touch and we can discuss further.
Can I stay with my child?
Most parents and carers do not stay for these sessions. However, I appreciate that this will not work for all children. Please get in touch if you feel staying with your child would be beneficial.
Do you offer sibling discount?
I work hard to keep the cost of my crafty sessions as cost effective as possible for everyone. So unfortunately, I am unable to offer a sibling discount.
Are your sessions suitable for children with additional needs?
Yes, we have plenty of children attending crafty club that have some level of additional need. I am happy to make adjustments where necessary, Get in touch and we can chat about what would make the session work for your child. Crafting shouldn’t be exclusive, so if I can help you, I will.
