Christmas “Knock ’em Down” Game

This one is a great favourite, and a great one to keep the kids entertained for a bit. You probably have the materials at home already, or can pick them up easily and cheaply in the supermarket.

You will need:

6 plain paper cups. I’ve used espresso cups here, but any size paper cup will be fine.

colouring pens

large pompoms or small balls.

Lets get making

Think of some designs for your cups. They will sit upside down when they are done, so take that into account when you are designing them.

Sketch out your design and get colouring. Will you do a different design for all 6 cups, or keep them the same?

When you are finished colouring, stack the cups into a pyramid.

Take a few steps back, and see how many throws it takes to knock over your tower. If its too easy, step further back, or find a lighter ball to throw.
