These sparkly stars or snowflakes would make a great addition to your festive decorations. You can use felt or foam to make them. Have a go at making different sizes and colours, or add different embellishments to make them your own. Sparkly felt or foam isn’t essential. How do they look with plain or patterned materials?
You will need…
- sparkly felt or foam sheets in your choice of colour
- scissors
- ruler and a pencil
- cool melt glue gun and glue sticks

Lets get making…
Start by cutting 8 strips of sparkly felt or foam into strips that measure 2cm by 10cm.

Fold each strip in half lengthways, with the sparkly edges together. Make 3 cuts started on the folded edge, and finishing about three quarters of the way up.

Open out the strip so the sprakly edge is facing you. Bring the two ends around next to each other, Add a little glue to the bottom of one edge, then bring the sparkly edges together. Pinch until the glue has held it securely.

Repeat the above process on the remaining strips.
Add a line of glue along one side of one folded strip. Stick another strip to the first, lining up the edges and ensuring the front of the sections are all facing the same way. Repeat the process with the remaining sections, until all have been glued together. When you have added the last section, bring the ends round and glue together to form a circle.

Add a small circle to the front or an embellishment of your prefer.
