Festive Star Decoration

This is a super simple festive star decoration that you can make in minutes. Using simple cupcake cases and glue, you can create beautiful festive stars to hang around your home. Once you’ve crafted a set of these delightful stars, you can string them together as garlands, or hang them individually in windows and doorways to spread the festive cheer throughout your home. Whether you’re preparing for a special event or simply looking to enhance your everyday decor, this fun and easy DIY project is perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy together during the holiday season.

You will need…

  • 17 cup cake cases
  • a small length of ribbon or twine for hanging
  • cool melt glue gun and glue sticks
  • festive embellishments (optional)

Let’s get making…

Flatten the edges of your cupcake case.

Add a line of glue along the centre of one half.

Fold your cupcake case in half, sticking two halves together. Repeat until you have folded all of the cases, Don’t forget to add a ribbon or string into the centre of ones of them before folding.

Put a line of glue along the three folded sides.

Stick a folded cupcake case on top. Repeat until you have glued them all together.

Bring the 2 outermost sections together and glue to form a star. Add an embellishment to the centre of each side if you wish, and hang up.
